NY Giants Fantasy: Odell Beckham Jr Out Week 4 as Victor Cruz, Rueben Randle Frustrated with Health, Eli Manning Favors Rashad Jennings, Andre Williams Run Game

Another week of the NFL season and another game without Odell Beckham Jr. The wide receiver continues to sit out after suffering a hamstring injury the first week of training camp and while the New York Giants are trying to remain positive and optimistic regarding their first-round draft pick's health, many are beginning to wonder just when Beckham plans on joining the team. As Week 4 approaches, the Giants have already ruled the wide receiver out.

According to head coach Tom Coughlin, Beckham will once again be ruled out for the Giants' Thursday night game against the Washington Redskins. Upon the original injury, Beckham was ruled out for the first three weeks of the season. However, because it is a short week of preparation, the Giants plan on keeping the receiver out once again.

"I think there's improvement with Odell as there has been every week," Coughlin said, via ESPN.com. "I don't believe he's there. We're trying to be as patient as we can with the idea that, when we get him back, we're going to have him."

Beckham has not been on the field since July 22 after getting drafted No. 12 overall. The former LSU standout is needed in the New York offense with his explosive speed and big playmaking abilities. After losing Hakeem Nicks, the Giants are hoping Beckham can step in and fill the void. Plus, his versatility will make him even more of an asset with his ability to assist on special teams as a return man. The Giants are simply tring to avoid placing him back on the field only to have the hamstring injury creep back up again. If all goes according to plan, Beckham will see his first bit of real action in Week 5 against the Atlanta Falcons.

New York's offense looked more together in Week 3 despite the absence of Beckham. The team got their first win as Eli Manning and company finally put together a solid performance. Victor Cruz had a season-high 107 yards and a touchdown while Rashad Jennings rushed for 176 yards and a touchdown as well. The Giants are hoping to build off that momentum and getting Beckham back will only help.
