Manchester City vs. Sheffield Wednesday Live Stream: Watch Online Streaming Capital One Cup Match

Manchester City and Sheffield are playing live on the Capital One Cup schedule on Wednesday and the game is live from Etihad Stadium for the Football League Cup and the citizens come in looking to keep things going after a strong showing in the EPL and the match starts up at 2:45 pm ET with live stream coverage from beIn Sport and names like Sergio Aguero, David Silva and Samir Nasri will be out for Man City.

Man City has started off a bit slow, but they have been moving up and they have won the Premier League last season and two of three and they will be looking to get this again. Man City will be without defender Pablo Zabaleta after he was sent off against Chelsea in the draw on Sunday. Manager Manuel Pellegrini knows this tournament has meaning and he won the Capital One Cup as his first trophy with the club and now they will be looking for more as they try and repeat as EPL champions.

Sheffield could have Goalkeeper Chris Kirklan in net after he played in the first two matches and City comes in without having won in their last four across all competitions. The team drew with Chelsea over the weekend and they will be looking to get a win under their belts as they head into another tough stretch of the schedule. Sheffield has played well this season overall and they have lost just one of their 10 matches overall and while the team knows this will be a tough test, they are not backing down from it.

Man City has the history against Sheffield and they have not lost in the last nine matches against the team, winning five of those. The team last played in the league Cup 30 years ago and now they are matching up again after City won that. Man City comes in as defending champions after winning over Sunderland last year and now they are looking to keep the trophy this time around and they are expected to win this matchup.

The team has had issues in the third round in the past and they come in not having won in their last four matches and that could give Sheffield an opening. Edin Dzeko has stepped up for the team in League Cup games and he has nine goals in his 10 matchups and he will be looking to get another on Wednesday. Sheffield has not advanced out of this round in over a decade and they will be looking to go against that now and they have done a solid job so far this year, winning over Burnley and they would like to add another EPL team to that list.

Man City comes into the matchup at sixth on the league table and they have the chance to get things going after not winning in their last four times out. The team has eight points on the season and they are trailing Arsenal and Swansea City and they are coming into things in the top five and they are chasing Chelsea in first place.
