Dallas Cowboys Rumors: Morris Claiborne Trade Option Without Improvement? Jerry Jones Wants Adrian Peterson If Vikings Release RB

Dallas Cowboys cornerback Morris Claiborne is back with the team after previously leaving in anger at being demoted from his starting position and after dealing with a tough situation last week, Claiborne is back in the fold, but if he doesn't improve there is a chance that he could get traded and this comes as Jerry Jones has shown interest in possibly acquiring Adrian Peterson once his Vikings career is over.

According to ESPN.com, Claiborne is back with the Cowboys after previously leaving the training facility and missing a team walkthrough after being demoted from the starting lineup. This is not the first time that it has happened to Claiborne and he said that he left so that the situation would not "escalate" and he also said that he regretted the actions he took. Orlando Scandrick will be in the starting lineup for Claiborne against the New Orleans Saints and that is for the Sunday night game in Week 4.

Claiborne later said that the demotion was not the issue, but the way that it was "presented" to him and that was what prompted him to leave the facility. Claiborne did not go into detail about the situation or about how he was told about the demotion, but he later returned to the team and met with the coaching staff and also apologized for his actions. Scandrick comes in after Claiborne has struggled and this is not the first time he has had issues after being the number six pick in the draft in 2012.

The Cowboys gave up draft picks to trade up and get Claiborne and he has so far not been the player they expected. Cowboys owner Jerry Jones was heard on the radio saying that Claiborne has not played up to expectations, but he said that he will get the chance to bounce back from this. Claiborne had a pick in the game against the Rams, but he also was called for a penalty and gave up five catches for 108 yards and two touchdowns to receivers in the game.

The Peterson situation will take time to resolved and the interest from Jones came from before his child abuse charges, but it's likely that the Cowboys will be interested if he is ever released or traded. The Vikings reportedly do not see Peterson in their future anymore after what happened with his case in Texas and now only time will tell how that plays out.

"I didn't leave from no stretch of the imagination from them telling me that Orlando was back," said Claiborne, who attended meetings and practiced Wednesday. "That wasn't the reason why I left. The reason why I left was how something was brought to me and how it was presented to me. I felt myself at a place where I had to just leave the facility at that moment.
