Sporting Kansas City vs. New England Revolution Live Stream: Watch Online Streaming MLS Game

Sporting Kansas City and the New England Revolution are playing live on the MLS schedule on Friday night and the game is live at 8 pm ET and streaming online from the NBCSN Live Extra website and is on TV from the NBC Sports Network from Sporting Park in Kansas in KC and this is a big game for both teams as the playoffs get closer on the Major League Soccer schedule.

The two teams are some of the best teams in the eastern conference and they are matching up in KC on Friday night and this could be a massive game for playoff position in the MLS east. The teams come in playing well and Kansas City is trailing the leaders in Dc United by just three points and that means they can jump into a tie on points if they can get a win at home. The east standings are getting very close as the season draws down and that makes every point important for the teams.

DC is leading the east standings with 48 points and while that trails the west leaders in Seattle for the Supporters Shield, the team is tops in the east and looking to keep it going. The team has a three points advantage over Kansas City and just behind those teams are leading New England in the standings. The Revolution are right there in third and they have a one point advantage over the New York Red Bulls, who are close in the standings with the Columbus Crew.

The east is getting tight, as Philly and Toronto are also in the mix behind Columbus and those teams can move up with positive performances. The Revolution are looking to get out of that middle pack mix and that means getting a win on the road against the defending champs and that will be a very tough task for the team no matter what. Sporting comes into things after snapping a four game losing streak and winning over Chivas, while the Revolution are coming in after losing for the first time in six matchups with a loss against the Columbus Crew on the road, which snapped a five game winning streak and that helped them get into this position in the standings.

The two teams are matching up for the third time this season and that means this could be a very intense matchup with the playoffs getting so close. The Revolution won their game at home and they also won with goals from Teal Bunbury and Lee Nguyen in April and now the teams play in KC. The Revolution have not won in KC in quite some time and that was a 3-1 win back in 2008 and that adds even more pressure for KC to take care of business at home.

The two teams also met in the playoffs last season and that was in the eastern semis and that saw KC win in the second leg in the return match after losing in the first leg. The team won and then took that into the MLS Cup and they won the championship and now they are looking to defend that title.
