Sporting Kansas City and DC United are playing live on the MLS match schedule on Friday night and the matchup from RFK Memorial Stadium starts up at 8 pm ET on the NBC Sports Network and streaming from the NBCSN Live Extra website as two of the best teams in Major League Soccer face off and this comes ahead of the playoffs in the east and this is a huge game for KC and Washington capital.
The two teams have been great this season and United is in first place in the conference right now after winning over Philly and they are looking to stay there. The team can clinch a spot in the playoffs with a win and they also can get closer to locking in the top seed, which is huge in these play-offs. Sporting is right there I the mix as well and they are in second place right now in a tie. The team comes in after losing their third straight game at Sporting Park after falling to New England and now they will try and bounce back.
The east standings has DC in first place and they have a nice lead right now with six points between them and Sporting along with the NE Revolution. The teams behind are very close and right now Columbus is in fourth place and they are just ahead of the NY Red Bulls. Sporting knows that the other teams are close and points here will be huge down the stretch.
