The English Premier League table standings has Chelsea leading the EPL heading into the weekend with no action on the schedule and they are in first place ahead of Manchester City, Southampton, Manchester United and Swansea City in the top five, while teams like Arsenal, Everton and Tottenham look to move up the standings.
Chelsea has been playing very well this season and with the schedule off for international play, they will stay in first place through next weekend. The team has the most goals scored and the best differential along with the most points and Diego Costa has proven to be a huge addition for the club. The team is leading the EPL standings by five points and they are ahead of Manchester City, who rests in second place with 14 points on the season.
Southampton has hung around to start the season and they are third with 13 points ahead of Manchester United. There are three teams tied with 11 points and that has Man United, Swansea City and Tottenham next in the table standings.
