Fantasy Football Free Agents Week 6: Jordan Reed, Branden Oliver, Odell Beckham, Antone Smith, Brandon LaFell Best Pickups

The fantasy football Week 6 schedule is finishing Monday and some free agents and solid pickups from the weekend include Jordan Reed, Branden Oliver, Antone Smith, Storm Johnson, Brandon LaFell, Odell Beckham, Ronnie Hillman, Brian Quick, Andre Williams, Andre Holmes, Andrew Hawkins and Shane Vereen, as those names have the chance to step up for owners moving forward.

Reed returned from injury for the Washington Redskins and was involved in the offense throughout the game against the Cardinals and he is a strong option to start moving forward. Oliver had another big game for the Chargers in a win for San Diego with Donald Brown and Ryan Mathews banged up, while Antone Smith scored another long touchdown for the Falcons. Storm Johnson stepped up as the starter in Jacksonville, while Brandon LaFell has turned into a favorite target for Tom Brady in recent weeks.

Ronnie Hillman and Andre Williams each got the start for an injured running back with Montee Ball and Rashad Jennings out and they could be in the starting lineups again next week. Williams was mostly shut down against the Eagles, but he will be starting again with Jennings out in Week 7, while Ball is out with a groin injury for a few weeks. Hillman had a solid game against the Jets and he should get a steady dose for the Broncos next week as well.

Andre Holmes had a very impressive touchdown catch from Derek Carr and while the Raiders lost, he could be a solid pickup moving forward in Oakland. Carr had his best game as a pro and while the team is still winless they could at least put up some points in future games. LaFell is emerging as a solid WR2 or WR3 for fantasy owners and he had another strong game against the Bills on Sunday, grabbing two touchdown passes and leading the team with 97 receiving yards.

Brady had his best game of the season and now he has been over 300 yards after missing out over the first stretch of games and he could be heating up at the right time. LaFell and Brady have a great matchup this week at home against the Jets, as New York is reeling after yet another loss and their secondary has been a mess this season as well. Johnson only had 21 yards in the game against then Titans and wile that was a weak performance, he did get into the endzone and moving forward he could still be a solid pickup optio for fantasy owners in need of an injury replacement.

Oliver is a great pickup for teams in need of an RB, as he has played well over the last two weeks and both Donald Brown and Ryan Mathews are still on the sidelines with injuries. Oliver had his second straight 100 yard game with 101 yards against the Raiders and he also caught four passes and got into the endzone again. Oliver now has three touchdowns in the last two games and is looking like a solid start for next week.
