Seahawks Fantasy: Doug Baldwin, Jermaine Kearse, Ricardo Lockette, Kevin Norwood, Paul Richardson Pickups After WR Percy Harvin Trade

The Seattle Seahawks made a trade with the NY Jets on Friday for WR Percy Harvin and now fantasy football owners should look at Doug Baldwin, Jermaine Kearse, Ricardo Lockette, Kevin Norwood and Paul Richardson as free agent pickup options to help replace Harvin for Russell Wilson, as he now will have the chance to spread the ball around even more.

Harvin's trade was a surprise to most in the football world, but ESPN.com reported that Harvin and the tem had tension recently over not getting him the ball. With his large contract also there and Wilson up for a new deal soon, the Seahawks made a tough decision and now the offense will have to find a way to replace Harvin. The Seahawks like both Norwood and Richardson after drafting them this year and Baldwin now elevates into the top position for the team.

Kearse and Lockette have played well in spots and while Harvin is now gone, the Seahawks have a solid group that can help make up his loss. Harvin has been off to a slow start this season and only has 22 catches and he has only had one game with 50 receiving yards this season. Harvin has a $40 million contract and is signed for the next four years and the Jets had the cap space to make a move and they are 1-6 on the season now after losing to the Jets.

Baldwin and Wilson got into it a bit last week and now that Harvin has been moved, it could shed some light on what has been going on. The team now will have to find a way to replace him in the offense and Baldwin comes in with 16 catches for 187 yards on the season. Baldwin had a very solid season last year with 50 catches for 778 yards and five touchdowns and now he has take over as the top spot on the depth chart.

Kearse comes in with 11 catches in five games with 168 yards on the season and he will be out on the field more often and could be an option in deeper leagues. Last year Kearse had 22 receptions for 346 yards and four touchdowns and he is on pace to beat those numbers this season. Richardson and Norwood have not factored in much this season, but they could now be in better position and are solid pickups in deeper leagues and keeper leagues.
