2014 World Series Schedule: TV Channel, Start Time For Giants vs Royals Playoff Game

The 2014 World Series schedule continues on Wednesday and the TV channel coverage is on Fox for Game 2 as the Giants and Royals matchup and the start time is at 8:07 pm ET for first pitch from Kauffman Stadium and the radio coverage is on from ESPN Radio online and the pitching matchup has Jake Peavy and Yordano Ventura.

The first matchup had the Giants win 7-1 and now they are up 1-0 in the series and looking for more as Game 2 picks up. The team got another great start from Madison Bumgarner and now he has put himself in some esteemed company with his World Series work. The Giants took down the Royals after they had won eight straight games and now the Giants are 9-2 in the postseason, while the Royals have dropped to 8-1 overall.

The Giants won big on Tuesday and now they have the chance to do it again and it comes after Hunter Pence hit the winning home run in the first inning. While no one knew at the time that all the Giants would need is two runs, Pence brought in three with his homer and now he has been on base nearly 25 straight times in the postseason. Pence can reach that on Wednesday and he has been hitting the ball well along with Joe Panik and Pablo Sandoval, who has been hot all postseason.

Peavy comes into the World Series after pitching there last season with the Red Sox and he has plenty of experience to fall back on. Peavy is up against a rookie and he has the advantage there and the Giants are looking to steal both games in Kansas City. Getting another win here would be huge for the team, as they have three games coming up at home. The Giants are in great position, as only three teams in the past 18 years have come back from a 1-0 deficit and now they have to try and do it against a team that has won two championships in five seasons.

The Giants have experience and they are coming into this game brimming with confidence and Pence helped the team do that and now they have a win after their horse in Bumgarner won the Game 1 matchup. Peavy comes in next and the team really has stacked pitching compared to the Royals, as they have Ryan Vogelsong and Tim Hudson to throw out next.

The Giants have the advantage with a 1-0 series lead and if they can get up 2-0 against the Royals they will be in great position to win the series. The team already has the chance to wrap up the series at home after winning game 1 and winning game 2 would put the odds heavily in their favor.
