The fantasy football Week 8 injury report has some big names, as AJ Green, Trent Richardson, Giovani Bernard, Marshawn Lynch, Arian Foster, Andre Ellington and Jimmy Graham all come in a bit banged up and some of those players could be limited this weekend or could miss time and fantasy owners should keep an eye on the team reports and inactive lists on Saturday and Sunday.
Green has been ailing over the past few weeks and he has been sidelined for two games and likely will miss another one this week. Green has been dealing with a nagging toe injury and now he has missed more games than he has in any other season in his career. Trent Richardson comes into this week dealing with a hamstring injury, while Giovani Bernard was limited in practice this past week after getting knocked around by the Colts.
Calvin Johnson has an ankle injury that has been lingering and while he plans on trying to go this week in London, it's likely that he will be out through the bye next week. Green and Johnson have been two of the most consistent players in all of fantasy football over the past couple years and now both are injured. Green comes in after putting up 97 and 98 receptions in each of the past two seasons for 1350 and 1426 yards and in that span he scored 22 touchdowns. Johnson has been just as good, putting up 122 catches two years ago for 1964 yards and 84 last season while catching 19 TDs in the past two seasons.
Arian Foster comes into the weekend a bit banged up, but he will be playing against the Titans on Sunday. Foster had his third straight 100 yard game last week in the Steelers game and now he has another great matchup. Foster has missed one game this season after being out for half the year last season and now he has the chance to keep things going.
Foster had 102 yards in the game and he has also been at or over 100 yards five times this season and has looked very good. Foster has a great matchup and as long as he is healthy, he is worth starting. Calvin Johnson is likely going to be out for the game on Sunday against the Falcons in Week 8, but fantasy owners should pay close attention to the injury reports that day.
Johnson is not out yet and he remains questionable with an ankle injury. The Lions are likely to keep him out, as they have a bye week the week after this game. Johnson has already missed a couple games and he comes in with 22 catches for 348 yards and that has been a massive disappointment for fantasy owners this season.
