The Ottawa Senators and Chicago Blackhawks are playing live on the NHL schedule on Sunday and the game is on at 7 pm ET on the NHL Network and comes from the United Center as the Hawks host the game and it has both teams coming in with nine points and after the Senators dealt with a cancelled game last week after the shootings in Canada.
The Blackhawks are coming into the game after a loss against the Blues and they are third in the central division and are 4-2-1 on the season with nine points. The team plays against the Ducks next and they are one of the favorites in the west this season. The team made it to the conference finals last year against the Kings and now they are looking to stay hot to start the season. The Blackhawks are ranked third in goals against and penalty kill percentage and they are right in the middle of the pack in scoring to start the year.
The Senators come into the game after a 3-2 loss in overtime against the New Jersey Devils and they will next play against the Columbus Blue Jackets on Tuesday. The team had a game cancelled earlier in the week after the tragedy in Ottawa and their next game at home should be very emotional. Craig Anderson will get the start for the Senators and he comes in after putting up 31 saves in a win against the Avalanche and now he will be back in net for the Blackhawks game. Anderson has been off to a hot start with a 2-1 record and a 2.01 GAA this season so far and he is looking to keep that going as the Blackhawks hit the schedule and he will matchup with a tough Chicago front line in this game. The Blackhawks are undefeated at the United Center this season and they have won three games there and one in overtime and now they have Antti Raanta in the net after an injury to Corey Crawford.
