The Royals bounced back and they won two games in a row to go up 2-1 in the series, but the Giants bounced back and now the series is 2-2 and is a best of three. The Giants have this game at home and then the next two will be in Kansas City. The Giants have been in situations like this before and their comeback in the last game was huge and now they have the chance to take the lead.

Shields has not earned his name in the playoffs and he is just 1-1 with a plus 7.00 ERA and now he has the chance to get things going in this matchup. Shields is about to pitch the biggest game of his career and this matchup in a seven game series when things are tied 2-2 often plays out with the winner of Game 5 taking the series.

Bumgarner has been lights out this playoffs and he has a great World Series record and he is the best pitcher on either side and this game is huge for the teams. The Giants pulled out a huge win in the last game and the Giants know that the series will go back to Kansas City no matter what happens in this game. The Giants have been down before late in series, but if they go up they are very hard to beat and they have already shown that they can win in Kansas City.
