US Women's Olympic Basketball Team 2012 Roster: The Entire Lineup of the Ladies Representing America in London

When thinking about US Basketball people automatically think about LeBron James and Kobe Bryant making another run at the gold.

Old timers would argue that when they think about US Basketball they think about the Dream Team featuring Jordan, Magic and Bird. Whatever your argument is about the best Men's Basketball team is, there is one thing the Women's Basketball team is currently doing that the Men are not.

The U.S. Women's Basketball Team will go into London as the owners of the 1996, 2000, 2004 and 2008 gold medals.

Those wins are already in the book. The ladies, packed with a talented roster, will now attempt to make it five in a row.

What is unfair for international competition is that half of the squad played for the Connecticut Huskies. Though they graduated in different classes, they are still familiar with Geno Auriemma's style of play.

Sue Bird (G), Swin Cash (F), Tina Charles (C), Asjha Jones (F), Maya Moore (F) and Diana Taurasi (G/F) were all members at different points of their Huskies career.

The remaining roster is made up of Candace Parker (F/C/G) and Tamika Catchings (F) from the Tennessee Volunteers and who currently play for the Los Angeles Sparks and Indiana Fever respectively.

Seimone Augstus (F) and Sylvia Fowles (C) know each other from Louisiana State.

Last but not least, Lindsay Whalen (G) and Angel McCoughtry (F) round out the list.
