British Open 2012 Championship ESPN Live Stream: Watch Tiger Woods, Darren Clarke, Rory McIlroy Tee Off in First Round

A lot of the United States will be asleep when golf superstars begin their journey in the 2012 British Open Championship.

The first round officially begins at 1 a.m. Eastern Time, but it will not be televised until 4:30 a.m. Eastern Time.

At 4:09 a.m. defending British Open champion Darren Clarke will defend his reign and attempt a repeat.

Tiger Woods will follow minutes after at 4:42 a.m. He will be teeing off together with Justin Rose and Sergio Garcia.

For Woods it will be another chance to capture his 15th major. He has been sitting on 14 majors for the last four years as he has yet to capture a majors event since 2008.

By the time Rory McIlroy takes the course most Americans on the east coast will be at work or on their way to work. McIlroy, the 2011 U.S. Open champion will take the course at 9:21 a.m.

Phil Mickelson will set off his journey in the 2012 Open Championship at 9:43.

Competitors have to watch out with Tiger Woods. He has been successful as of late, winning three events this season. Unfortunately, because he is Tiger, people want him to win majors.

Woods will enter the tournament eyeing the opportunity of winning his fourth Claret Jug.
