The Anaheim Ducks and Dallas Stars are playing live on the NHL schedule on Friday night and the matchup from the American Airlines Center starts up at 8:30 pm ET and has one of the hottest teams in hockey in the Ducks and the matchup will be on the NHL.com Game Center website as Ryan Getzlaf and company try and keep things going to start the season.
The Ducks come into the game after a loss against the Blues on the road and they have one of the best records in the league as the season starts. The team has 16 points and an 8-3-0 record to start the season and they are currently first in the Pacific division this season. The team comes in against the Stars and Dallas has 11 points to open things and the Ducks will next matchup with the Avalanche and that game will be in Colorado.
The Ducks have been one of the most consistent teams to start the season and they rank in the top half of the league so far in goals allowed per game, goals scored and in special teams. Devante Smith-Pelly scored for the team in their win over the Blackhawks the other night and that was a great matchup between two teams that could be there at the end of the season in the west.
In other action, the LA Kings and Detroit Red Wings are playing live on the NHL schedule on Friday night for Halloween and the game from Joe Louis Arena has the Stanley Cup champs travelling away from Los Angeles on this east road trip and the matchup starts at 7:30 pm ET and is streaming online from NHL.com and comes after the Kings lost to Sidney Crosby and the Penguins.
