The Cincinnati Bearcats and Tulane Green Wave are playing live on the college football schedule on Fridays night and the Halloween game is from Yulman Stadium as the American Athletic Conference teams matchup and the game is on TV from ESPN2 and streaming on the WatchESPN website as the AAC play continues and this is a massive game for Gunnar Kiel and the ‘Cats.
Cincy comes into the game after a 34-17 win against South Florida and now they have the chance to get their third win in a row. The team is looking to stay in the mix in the AAC and they have the East Carolina Pirates next and they have played well this season. The team is ranked the Bearcats know that will be a tough game and they come in after losing three straight and then bouncing back for two in a row against USF and against SMU.
The Bearcats are ranked 13th in the nation this season with 322 passing yards per game and Kiel has played well for the team this season. Kiel has 2049 yards and 20 scores this season and he has put Cincy in position to stay in the conference race. The team has a decent schedule coming up and they have games against UConn and East Carolina and three of the next four games will be on the road and that includes the matchup with Tulane.
The team comes in with the 36th ranked offense by points per game and they have continued to play well on that side of the ball. The team opened the season with wins against Toledo and Miami and now they are looking to get things going in the second half. The Bearcats lost on the road against Ohio State and then lost against Memphis and Miami and those games saw the team five up at least 40 points in each contest and 50 in two of them. The defense has given up a combined 20 points in the last two games and that is what the team is hoping for on Halloween.
Tulane comes into the game struggling on offense this season and they lost against Central Florida in their last matchup. The team is 1-2 in the conference this season and they have a 2-5 record overall as a team. The team comes in after opening the season with four losses in five games and now they have a tough matchup with Cincy and they also have East Carolina on the horizon. The team is ranked 79th in the nation in points against and they will have to be smart to hold back Kiel and the Bearcats.
The team lost to Tulsa in double overtime to start the season and then fell to Georgia Tech before getting their first win. The team then lost back to back games to Rutgers and Duke and after that they won over UConn in a 12-3 thriller and now they have Cincy after the UCF loss.
