The LA Lakers and New Orleans Pelicans are playing live on the NBA schedule on Wednesday and the matchup from the Smoothie King Center in NO starts up at 8 pm ET and has Kobe Bryant and Anthony Davis matching up as Los Angeles looks to bounce back after yet another loss and that came after the first win of the season for the team.

The Lakers have been terrible this season and they are just 1-6 and they come in after a loss against the Memphis Grizzlies. The team has the Pelicans now and then the team plays against the San Antonio Spurs next. The Lakers saw Kobe Bryant score 28 points and add six assists in the game against the Grizzlies and he looks back to his old self. The Lakers were not meant to be good this season, but they have been very bad, ranking 30th in the league in defense so far.

The Pelicans come into the game after a win against the Cleveland Cavaliers and after the matchup with the Lakers the team plays against the Timberwolves. The Pelicans come into the game as the fifth ranked rebounding team in the league and Davis has been emerging as a superstar in the league. Davis had 14 rebounds against the Cavaliers and he now comes in averaging a double double this season with 24 points and 13 rebounds.
