MLB Trade Rumors: Hanley Ramirez Really Getting Shipped Out by the Miami Marlins?

The fans are asking if Hanley Ramirez could get shipped out by the Miami Marlins, Ken Rosenthal of FOX Sports says anything is possible.

Right now, the Oakland Athletics seem like a viable destination for the short stop/third baseman.

Rosenthal's argument is that the Marlins showed they would be willing to trade Ramirez last week as rumors swirled of their interest in the Boston Red Sox's Carl Crawford.

The A's, believe it or not, are just 5 1/2 games behind the Texas Rangers for first place in the American League West. They are tied for the second Wild Card spot in the AL.

According to sources, Billy Beane is already eyeing short stops around the majors. So Ramirez can be an option.

Ramirez would supply the A's with some pop. They have the best pitching, but they have one of the worst offenses in the majors.

Also getting mentioned in a Ramirez deal are the San Francisco Giants.

There is young talent in that ballclub and fellow Dominican, Melky Cabrera, can help Ramirez adapt to the lifestyle by the bay.

The Giants have a weak offense and could use a boost, which could extend their lead over the Los Angeles Dodgers in the National League West.

Despite Ramirez's infamous reputation, he is an improvement at shortstop over Brandon Crawford.

Ramirez is hitting .246 with 14 home runs and 47 RBI.

Crawford has three homers with 30 RBI and is only hitting .239.

The Yankees have already made a splash after acquiring Ichiro from the Mariners. Will the Giants or A's be the next teams to make moves and possibly acquire a difference maker in their struggling lineups?

The trade deadline ends in exactly a week.
