The NY Rangers and Colorado Avalanche are playing on the NHL schedule on Thursday night and the game is live at 7 pm ET on the NHL Network from New York at Madison Square Garden with Henrik Lundqvist and Rick Nash leading the Blueshirts.

The Rangers come into the game after breaking a losing streak against the Pittsburgh Penguins and that was a big 5-0 win for the team after two bad losses. The Rangers lost to the Maple Leafs and the Oilers and now they have the lowly Avalanche before playing the Penguins again. The Penguins game was huge for the team after the way they had been playing and now the Rangers are 7-6-2 on the year and they have 16 points this season.

The Avalanche have just four wins, but they are 4-8-5 so they are there with 13 points and now they head to MSG before the Rangers finish the home and home with the Penguins. The Avalanche come into the game at seventh in the central division and they come in at fifth in penalty kill percentage. The Avalanche come in after a bad loss against the Islanders at 6-0 and they will finish the tri state tour with the Devils on the road in New Jersey.

Rick Nash is one of the league leaders in the scoring this season and he has been off to a great start with 12 goals. Nash has finally shown the form that the Rangers have always wanted from him and he has been the key for the team and they are getting some players back from injuries. Derek Stepan has returned and Nash now has gotten hot and the Rangers want to keep riding him.
