Washington Redskins Rumors: Robert Griffin III Starts Over Colt McCoy With DeSean Jackson, Alfred Morris Best Fantasy Options Week 11

The Washington Redskins have Robert Griffin III as the starter over Colt McCoy in Week 11 following a bye as they take on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and for fantasy football owners, DeSean Jackson, Alfred Morris and Jordan Reed are the best start options for RG3, as those names have the chance to put up numbers against a struggling Bucs defense.

Griffin comes into the week dealing with an ankle injury, but he appears ready to go on Sunday when the Redskins take on a weak Buccaneers team. Griffin has been inconsistent when he has played this season, but that is partially due to the fact that he has only played in three games. Some wondered whether the Redskins would hold Griffin out through the bye week after the way Colt McCoy played on Monday night football, but the team opted to start Griffin.

Griffin has the chance to have a huge game and so do Morris and Jackson, as the Buccaneers defense has been one of the worst in the NFL. Griffin comes in a little banged up, but the extra time on the bye could help him get all the way to 100 percent and that is good news for Jackson and Morris. Last week Jackson had 120 yards receiving and Morris had two touchdowns and 92 yards in his best game of the season.

Jackson has adapted well to the Redskins and he comes in with 36 catches for 784 yards on the season. Jackson has five games with 100 yards and four of those have come over the last five weeks. Morris has also been heating up and while he is not on pace to hit his numbers from the last two seasons, he should get over 1000 yards for the third straight year.

The Redskins come into this week after a bye and they have the San Francisco 49ers next on the schedule after the matchup with the Buccaneers. The team lost a close game against the Vikings last week and that saw the return of Robert Griffin, who did not have a bad game or a great game, but a so-so game and Washington lost by three. The team is ranked sixth in passing yards per game this season and that was mostly done without Griffin and now they are battling with the Giants for last place in the division.

The Redskins have a tough schedule coming up and three of the next four games are on the road and the next two will be against teams that made the playoffs last season. The Redskins play the 49ers and the Colts next on the road before coming home against the Rams and then they will play against the Giants. The team ends the season at home against the Eagles and the Cowboys and they could help decide the division in those matchups.
