The Chicago Bulls and LA Clippers are playing live on the NBA season schedule on Monday night and the game is from Los Angeles at the Staples Center and it will be on NBATV and things start up at 10:30 pm ET as Derrick Rose, Chris Paul, Blake Griffin and Pau Gasol matchup as the east and west power teams battle out on the west coast.
The Bulls come into the game after a loss against the Indiana Pacers and they have the Sacramento Kings next on the schedule and they are now 7-3 on the season. The Clippers are 5-3 this year and they have Chris Douglas-Roberts ailing, while Derrick Rose will be out for the Bulls in this matchup with a hamstring. Rose has been in and out of the lineup this season and the Bulls have been getting along mostly fine without him, but for the Bulls to make it to the finals they will need Rose to stay healthy.
The team comes into the game at 11th in the league in points per game and they are 12th in points allowed after finishing in the top of the league last season. The Clippers come in after a win against the Phoenix Suns and they next will play against the Orlando Magic on the road on Wednesday. The Clippers come into the game in the top 10 in points per game this season and they are eighth in assists per game and the team is one of the favorites in the west this year.
Rose has been injured multiple times already this season and the Bulls have had to find a way to manage expectations after he suffered serious injuries the last two years. The Clippers opened the season with two straight wins and they are trying to get a streak like that going again for the first time since those games. Blake Griffin has scored over 25 points per game in his career against the Bulls and he will try and keep that going in this game on Monday.
Rose has missed five games already this season and he has dealt with ankle injuries on top of the hamstring that he is dealing with. The Bulls want to keep Rose healthy this season and he said that he will be cautious as he comes back from his multiple knee surgeries. The Clippers have the Bulls next before a massive road trip and they will be on the road until the end of November with games against the Rockets, Heat and Pistons on that trip.
