The Kansas City Chiefs and Oakland Raiders are playing live on the NFL Thursday night football schedule for Week 12 and the game from O.co Coliseum starts up at 8:25 pm ET from the NFL Network and has the winless Raiders taking on KC in this AFC West matchup and it will be tough to snap the streak against the team on TNF.
The Raiders are the worst team in the league this season and they come in after a loss against the San Diego Chargers. The team next plays against the Rams and they are currently 0-10 and now they have to find a way to win a game over the next six weeks to save some form of self-respect. The team comes in ranked near the bottom of the league in most categories and they currently have the worst rushing offense in the NFL.
The Chiefs have one of the best secondary's in the league and they are ranked fourth in rushing yards per game and that means the Raiders have to deal with Jamaal Charles in this matchup. Charles has been strong all season and he went off for 159 yards last week against the Seahawks and now will be looking for more. The Chiefs are first in the AFC West at 7-3 and they are once again in the thick of things and they will be a team to watch going forward.
The Chiefs come in after a win against the Seahawks and next week they have a huge game against the Broncos after playing against the Raiders. The team is ranked second to last in the league in passing offense, but with the way they play defense and rush the ball, they don't need Alex Smith to do too much. The Chiefs have now won five games in a row since falling to the Niners on the road and down the stretch this season they have some tough games.
The Chiefs play against the Broncos next and then they will have the Cardinals before another matchup with Oakland. The final two games of the season are against Pitt and then San Diego and that will be at home in KC. The Raiders are terrible and the Chiefs have been playing very well on defense during this last stretch. The team has not allowed more than 20 points in the last five wins and they have only allowed 20 or more points five times this season.
The Chiefs are getting hot at the right time, as they still have a game against Denver coming up and that will be at home and they also play the top team in the league in the Cardinals. That should be a big matchup and Kansas City hopes it's the first of two times that they will be playing at the stadium as that is where the Super Bowl is this season.
