Chicago Bears Rumors: Brandon Marshall, Alshon Jeffery Probable WR Fantasy Start Options For Week 12

The Chicago Bears had WRs Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery out of practice on Wednesday and fantasy football owners should keep an eye on the top two targets from Jay Cutler, as they are on the injury report heading into Sunday against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and if either player can't go it would be a big loss for the Bears offense and for owners heading towards the playoffs.

Marshall has been dealing with injuries on and off this season and he has been able to play most weeks, while Jeffery comes in with a hamstring issue. According to Pro Football Talk, Marshall is still dealing with a lingering ankle injury and this comes after he was on the injury report last week with the same issue. Jeffery had not been on the injury report and this could be the team staying cautious heading into the game on Sunday.

Both Jeffery and Marshall played well on Sunday and now the 4-6 Bears are hoping they remain healthy for the matchup with the Bucs. The two wideouts are probable for Sunday and that means they are likely to play, but fantasy owners should be prepared if things change over the weekend. Jeffery is having a solid season and while he is not on the pace he was last year, he is heating up at the right time. The playoffs in fantasy are soon and both Marshall and Jeffery could be huge factors for fantasy owners.

Marshall comes in after dealing with an ankle injury and he looks ready to go after missing practice earlier in the week. Marshall was limited on Thursday after missing out on Wednesday and he comes in after catching seven balls and two TDs on Sunday against the Vikings. Marshall has a great matchup with a weak Bucs secondary and as long as he is healthy, he should be a fantasy starter.

Marshall has been heating up as of late, as he has three TDs in the last two games and in that span he has over 200 yards and 15 catches. Marshall will be the top target for Cutler and Jeffery comes in after having his best game of the season. Jeffery had 11 catches to reach double digits in receptions for a game for the first time this season and he went for 135 yards, on yard off his best performance this year. Marshall and Jeffery need to be in the lineup for the Bears to turn this thing around in 2014.

The Bears come into this week after snapping a three game winning streak and they won over the Vikings and now will play the Buccaneers. Tampa Bay is coming in after a win over the Redskins, but they have been terrible this season and are primed for another loss. The Bears had given up 50 points in back to back games before allowing 13 last week and now they need to try and save their season and possibly the job of their head coach. Down the stretch the team has tough games, including the Lions twice and the Saints, but five of the next seven are at home.
