The Opening Ceremony is about to set off at 9 p.m. GMT. Though live streams have not been available in the United States, people in UK will be allowed to watch the live stream coming from the BBC station. 

NBC has decided not to broadcast the Opening Ceremony online to the rest of the world. Instead, everybody will have to wait until it is released on tape-delay in their specific time zones.

With that being said, NBC will have live coverage in America at 7:30 p.m. on the east coast and 6:30 p.m. on the central part of the country. Unfortunately for those in the West, they will have to wait until the clocks strikes 7:30 p.m. on their clocks before they see the action. 

Despite the Opening Ceremony not being showed online, nbcolympics.com is advertising their live online streams of all events and medal competitions, but they have left out the ceremony.

The Olympics Opening Ceremony is said to have cost somewhere around $40 million. Award-winning director and producer Danny Boyle will be in charge of running the show in London. He has a staff of four other producers, which helped him prepare the great show taking place in London. 

Stephen Daldry (Creative Executive Producer), Mark Fisher (Production Design), Hamish Hamilton (Broadcast) and Catherine Ugwu are all veterans when it comes to performances.
