NFL Standings 2014: AFC and NFC Playoffs Records and Division Leaders Week 13

The NFL season standings for 2014 are shaping up as the playoffs get closer and after the Thanksgiving matchups for Week 13, the AFC and NFC playoff pictures have teams closing in on spots, with the Philadelphia Eagles, Green Bay Packers, Arizona Cardinals, Seattle Seahawks, New England Patriots, Colts and Broncos are all in position to make the postseason.

The Eagles took advantage in the crowded NFC playoff picture, as they won over the Dallas Cowboys on Thanksgiving to take a lead in the east division. The Cowboys still have a chance to win things, but Mark Sanchez put the Eagles in very good position to win the division. The NFC North is also getting tight, as the Detroit Lions won over the Chicago Bears and now they are in the mix with the Green Bay Packers. Aaron Rodgers has the Packers playing well, but they matchup with the New England Patriots this weekend.

The NFC South is a mess and now the Atlanta Falcons are leading the Saints with 4-7 records after a head to head win. The West has the Cardinals in first at 9-2 and they play this weekend and they are ahead of the Seahawks at 8-4 this season. The AFC East has the Patriots at 9-2 this season and they are in control over the Miami Dolphins and Buffalo Bills, who have 6-5 records. The North in the AFC is a mess and really has the playoff picture going crazy, as all four teams have 7 wins.

The Bengals lead with a 7-3-1 record, while the Steelers, Ravens and Browns are all 7-4 this season. The Colts lead the Texans in the south with a 7-4 record, while the west has the Denver Broncos leading with an 8-3 record over the Chiefs and Chargers. The NFC playoff picture is taking shape and right now the Lions and the Seahawks are in the wild card spots, while the Falcons are the bottom division team. The Cardinals, Eagles and Packers are the top three seeds in the conference.

The AFC standings has the Patriots in the first seed, while the Denver Broncos, Bengals and Colts are the other division winners. The current wild card mess will get sorted out over the final five weeks, but the Steelers, Chiefs, Chargers, Ravens and Browns all have seven wins and are gunning for two spots. The Dolphins and the Bills are also in contention, while the Texans are still alive for the time being.
