Cleveland Browns Rumors: Jordan Cameron Out With Concussion As Josh Gordon Fantasy Start Option For Johnny Manziel Week 14

The Cleveland Browns are choosing between Brian Hoyer and Johnny Manziel Sunday to see who will start Week 14, but one player that likely will be out is tight end Jordan Cameron, as he has been dealing with concussion issues and that makes Josh Gordon the best fantasy football start option along with Isaiah Crowell and Terrance West against the Indianapolis Colts.

Hoyer was pulled on Sunday against the Bills for Manziel and while Mike Pettine has not made an official decision, there is a good chance that Manziel will start. Hoyer has been very solid for the Browns this season, but he has fallen apart over the past two weeks, throwing five interceptions and zero touchdowns in that time. The Browns pulled out a win against the Falcons, but could not do the same against the Bills and now it could be Manziel's time to start.

--UPDATE: the Browns name Hoyer the starter over Manziel for this week.

Gordon returned after missing the entire season with a suspension and he was back after 12 games and now has 15 catches for 195 yards over two contests. Gordon led the league with 1646 yards last season and he set career highs with nine touchdowns and 87 receptions and he could be the key for the team down the final stretch of games this season. The Browns are in playoff position, but the loss to the Bills could be crippling for their chances of getting in.

Hoyer has had issues on offense all season and that is because his two best players have missed significant time. Cameron has been out with multiple injuries, while Josh Gordon only was able to return a couple weeks ago after his suspension. The running game has done a solid job this season and with Gordon back they should be able to open things up for Hoyer or Manziel in the passing game. Hoyer has 3064 passing yards this season, but he is completing just 56 percent of his passes and now has 11 touchdowns and 10 interceptions. Manziel hasn't done much this season, but he scored his first TD and looked the part on Sunday and now he could get the start.

Cameron is one of the best players at his position when healthy, but he has not been that on a consistent basis this season. Cameron has just 13 catches for 250 yards in six games with one touchdowns and while he has one 100-yard game, he has not been over 50 yards in any other contest. Cameron has not made more than three catches in any game this season and his lone bright spot performance came in Week 6 when he had three catches for 102 yards.

Cameron is a free agent coming up next year and that makes his injuries even tougher. The Browns will have to decide what to do about Hoyer and Cameron, as Cameron has shown that he can be in the mold of a Jimmy Graham when healthy. Last season Cameron set career highs with 80 catches for 917 yards and seven TDs in 15 games and that more than tripled his output from the previous season. Cameron has that potential and the Browns will have to decide how much they want to pay.
