The Dallas Mavericks and Chicago Bulls are playing live on the NBA schedule on Tuesday and the game from the United Center starts up at 8 pm ET as Derrick Rose and Joakim Noah face off against Tyson Chandler and Dirk Nowitzki in a matchup of east-west teams in Chi-town and it comes as the Bulls are dealing with some injuries and they are first in the central division.
The Bulls are 11-6 this season and they come in after a win against the Brooklyn Nets and they will next play against the struggling Hornets on the road. The team is first in the central division and they are looking to get on a roll with Derrick Rose and Pau Gasol playing at a high level. The Bulls are averaging 101 points per game and they are ranked in the top 10 in rebounds per game.
The Bulls have been getting things done while dealing with injuries and while Derrick Rose has returned, he has been in and out of the lineup this year with various ailments. Jimmy Butler has been playing at a high level and he comes in leading the team in scoring and in minutes. Butler scored 26 points and added five assists in the game against the Nets and Pau Gasol led the way with 13 rebounds.
The Bulls offense will be a man down on Tuesday night, as Doug McDermott will be out with a knee injury and he will not play against the Mavericks. McDermott had not been listed as having an injury and now he will be out for the matchup. The Bulls just had a massive road trip after the United Center was booked and they mostly survived and now they have 11 wins on the season and have been off to a strong start.
The Bulls wrapped things up with the Brooklyn Nets game after going east and west and now they have a nice stretch of home games with four of the next five coming at the United Center. After that stretch they play against the Miami Heat and the Atlanta Hawks on the road before a matchup with the Knicks. The Mavs are 13-5 this season and they are leading the league in scoring with 109 points per game. Chandler Parsons led the team in scoring with 20 points against the Sixers and he has been strong for the team since coming from the Rockets and signing in the offseason.
