NY Giants Rumors: Mathias Kiwanuka, Geoff Schwartz, Robert Ayers Placed On Injured Reserve, Tom Coughlin Fired After Season?

The NY Giants have had a very tough season and now Mathias Kiwanuka, Geoff Schwartz and Robert Ayers have been placed on injured reserve and this comes as many have called for the team to fire Tom Coughlin after the 2014 season ends after the way New York has performed.

According to Pro Football Talk, the Giants added five players to injured reserve, ending their seasons, including Schwartz for an ankle injury and Kiwanuka for a knee injury. The team also placed Ayers on the list along with Adam Snyder and Terrell Manning. The Giants have dealt with a ton of injuries this season and this adds five more to the list, which previously included Jon Beason and Victor Cruz. The Giants have lost seven games in a row and lost to the Jaguars on Sunday and the injuries have been one of the main reasons for their struggles.

Many have called for the team to fire Coughlin after the season, but the Giants will likely take time to decide what to do. The Giants are 3-9 on the season and they haven't won a game since early October and while they have played well at times, they have been very inconsistent. The team is dealing with a ton of issues and this is the second straight season they will finish with a below .500 record and this is the second straight year they have had a six game losing streak.
