The fantasy football Week 14 schedule is here and some sleeper free agents and pickups heading into the playoffs include Marion Grice, Jordan Reed, Donte Moncrief, Dan Herron, Kenny Stills, Doug Martin, Richard Rodgers, Matt Asiata, Stepfan Taylor, Kendall Wright, Carlos Hyde, Jonathan Stewart, Alfred Blue, Ray Rice, Andrew Hawkins, Isaiah Crowell and Denard Robinson, as those players have the chance to step up down the stretch.
The fantasy season is winding down and with injuries piling up and teams needing wins, some of these players could be huge start options coming up. The Colts have a great offense and this season they have passed the ball a ton and now Donte Moncrief has passed Hakeem Nicks in the depth chart and has become a solid target for Andrew Luck. Coby Fleener has been stepping up with Dwayne Allen injured, while Trent Richardson and Dan Herron are worth looking at now that Ahmad Bradshaw is out for the season with an injury.
Doug Martin looks to have his legs back and he could be a nice surprise down the stretch after a bad start to the season for the Buccaneers. Martin has 251 yards this season and he comes in after getting 18 carries and a touchdown on Sunday. The Redskins are terrible, but Colt McCoy gives the team an actual passing offense and Jordan Reed has benefitted from the QB change from RG3. Reed is healthy after a rough start to the season and he is another strong tight end for owners.
Reed comes in after making nine catches last week for 123 yards in the loss to the Colts and he could be looking like a strong starter the rest of the way. McCoy likes to use the tight end position and he has had a good rapport with Reed, as he has targeted him 18 times in the last two starts. Kendall Wright, Carlos Hyde, Jonathan Stewart and Matt Asiata are also options, as the Vikings will use Asiata and Jerick McKinnon along with Ben Tate at RB with Adrian Peterson suspended.
The Cardinals may not have Andre Ellington on Sunday and that could give Marion Grice and Stepfan Taylor the chance to step up. Grice is likely to start if Ellington is out according to Bruce Arians, while Taylor is a fantasy option in deeper leagues only for now. Grice had 11 carries and a touchdown for the Cardinals on Sunday and he could be a sleeper option this week, although the Cards also signed Michael Bush for a depth option after Ellington went down.
The Browns have Isaiah Crowell and Terrance West now that Ben Tate is gone and with Johnny Manziel likely to get some playing time, the Browns should rush the ball a bit. Andrew Hawkins has played well this season with Josh Gordon coming back and both of those players should get some chances on Sunday as well. Carlos Hyde has been getting more carries for the 49ers and with the Raiders on the schedule next, the team could put up some major points.
