Andre Johnson is attempting to set the record straight with his intentions regarding his future with the Houston Texans. The wide receiver is the franchise star, holding most of his position records with the team, but for most of this season it has been speculated that Johnson has no intentions of sticking around. Johnson made headlines after complaining about the direction of the Texans organization and this season is likely not helping his mood. However, the wide receiver is denying he has any plans to leave Houston during his career.

"I always want things to work out here. I've always wanted that," Johnson said, via theHouston Chronicle. "I don't want to play for nobody else. I have been here for 12 years. I don't even think it would feel right. I have seen everybody come into this locker room and leave out. Trainers, ... stars, coaches - I have seen it all. [My] locker has been here the longest. I couldn't imagine how it would feel to put on another uniform, so hopefully I'll be able to be here."

This is a much different tone than what Johnson was saying in the preseason. The wide receiver made note that he was simply tired of losing and did not know what the future held for him in Houston. He was not outright requesting a trade, but certainly did not sound like he would turn one down. This season has not been the easiest for Johnson. The Texans are once again struggling at the quarterback spot and Johnson's numbers are certainly down from years prior although he is just eight catches away from 1,000 on his career.

Johnson's contract is not the most pleasant, but if a team were to try and make a move for it, would he accept? Many NFL sources have speculated that the New England Patriots are prepping a trade in the offseason after they likely say goodbye to Danny Amendola and Aaron Dobson. Tom Brady at quarterback is an upgrade over Ryan Fitzpatrick and Ryan Mallett.

The quarterback position could dictate what Johnson intends to do for the future. The Texans will be looking for another option. They have Tom Savage sitting on the bench. Mallett's deal is expiring and Fitzpatrick is not a long-term option. If the Texans made a trade for Robert Griffin III or draft a first-round option, will Johnson truly stay for the long-term?
