The Arizona Cardinals are in playoff contention this season, but they took a big hit after Sunday, as running back Andre Ellington was injured and is now on IR and that leaves Kerwynn Williams, Marion Grice, Stepfan Taylor and Michael Bush as fantasy football start options in Week 15 as owners head into the playoffs.
According to Pro Football Talk, head coach Bruce Arians said that Ellington was placed on season ending injured reserve with a hernia injury and he will not be able to return if the team makes the playoffs. Ellington has been one of the most important players for the Cardinals this season and now the team will have to rely on a stable of backs to make up for his production. Michael Floyd and John Brown should see increased targets in the passing game and the RBs also should get involved in the passing game like Ellington did.
Ellington had been dealing with a foot injury all season that kept him from practicing early most weeks and now he is out with a hernia. Ellington was one of the best two way backs in the league and now the Cardinals are without their starting quarterback and running back heading into the final stretch of the season.
