NY Giants Rumors: Odell Beckham Best Fantasy Football Keeper 2014 With Andre Williams As WR To Win Rookie of the Year Award?

The NY Giants may have had a down season, but rookies Odell Beckham Jr. and Andre Williams have shown fans that the future should be bright and both those players are strong fantasy football keeper options into 2015 and it comes as the WR is the favorite for the offensive rookie of the year award this season.

Beckham comes in after putting up another huge performance against the Washington Redskins in Week 15, making 12 catches on 15 targets with 143 yards and three touchdowns. Beckham led the way for the Giants and he added to his numbers after coming in with 59 catches for 829 yards and six touchdowns in the nine games he had played leading into the Redskins matchup. Manning and Beckham have found a great rapport in the offense and he has been a great replacement with the injury to Victor Cruz.

The idea of having Cruz and Beckham together in the offense for Eli Manning is one that Tom Coughlin hopes he will be around for and that could be the key to turning this team around. Williams has shown that he is a solid player as well and he should be another big contributor moving forward. Williams stepped up when Rashad Jennings went down with an injury and he had a 100-yard game against the Titans along with Beckham. The Giants put together 100-yard games from rookie RB and WR players in the same game for the first time since 1980 and that could be a major sign of things to come.

Coming into Week 14, Beckham was leading all receivers in the league in yards gained, receptions and touchdowns since coming out of the bye in Week 9. Beckham has been averaging nearly 100 yards per game this season in receiving yards and he has shown that he is an electric talent in this league. Beckham broke out huge on Sunday night football with his catch seen around the world and now he has followed that up with some strong play overall.

Beckham has some strong competition for rookie of the year this season and most of that comes from his position, as the class of 2014 is one of the best ever for wide receivers. Mike Evans, Sammy Watkins and Kelvin Benjamin have all had strong seasons along with Jordan Matthews and Brandin Cooks and Evans could be the top competition for Beckham. Odell has also returned punts for the Giants and he has rushed the ball multiple times on set plays from McAdoo.

Beckham has been on fire over the past few games, as he had had double digit receptions in three of the past four games and in that time he has also put up at least 90 yards in all four matchups. Beckham has been over 100 yards in five games this season and over the past four he has had at least 130 yards three times. Beckham went for 10 catches and 146 yards with two touchdowns in his breakout game on national TV and two weeks later he had another huge game against the Titans. Beckham may not win rookie of the year this season, but he sure will make the race close.
