2k Sports announced Wednesday a partnership with hip-hop impresario and part Brooklyn Nets owner Jay-Z who will serve as Executive Producer for the 2013 version of the best-selling NBA 2k13 basketball game.
NBA 2K13 isn't just going to have some great virtual basketball action, it's also going to have some great hip-hop beats to accompany your on-court hops.
The 14-time Grammy Award winner will focus his talents on the experience, from the overall look and feel of the game, to the hand-picked soundtrack, interactive in-game menus and even the crowd reactions.
"This has been a unique opportunity to collaborate with 2K Sports and be a part of one of the best sports video games in history," Jay-Z said in a statement. " 'NBA 2K13' will be the next evolution in sports and basketball culture, and I'm ready to usher in the new era of the franchise."
NBA 2K13 is due for release October 2nd for the Xbox 360, Windows PC, PlayStation 3, PSP and Wii. The Wii U version is expected during the holiday season.
