Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray will meet in the semifinals after both players advanced during the quarterfinals on Thursday. The two will get ready to take the court following the Serena Williams vs. Victoria Azarenka match in Centre Court.
Djokovic made a great comeback in the second set of his match against Jo-Wilfried Tsonga. Djokovic strolled through the first set winning it 6-1. He had Tsonga frustrated and Tsonga's body language looked negative. The Frenchman kicked it up a notch in the second set however.
Tsona managed to turn the tides on Djokovic at the start of the second set. Tsonga won the first three games in the second set, taking the 3-0 advantage as he capitalized on Djokovic's unforced errors.
Djokovic had the crowd behind him. As much as people like cheering for an underdog like Tsonga, at the end of the day, Djokovic is the favorite. They saw their tennis players losing and the fans began cheering for Djokovic at the start of the fourth game.
Djokovic won seven of the last nine games to take the 7-5 lead, advancing to the Men's Singles semifinals.
Andy Murray had a rough start to his quarterfinals on Thursday, but he picked on Nicolas Almagros' right shoulder. With 15 aces in the match, Murray destroyed Almagros in the second set to take the match and advance into the semis.
Murray's situation with the fans is very humorous. When he falls behind by a few games the fans begin yelling at him as if upset with the player, This reaction immediately shows how much the fans want Murray to win and succeed.
When he wins everybody erupts. The umpire had to ask the crowd to silence a few times at the end of the match.
This match should be captivating as the second and third ranked players will meet head-to-head.
