Mexico will play versus Senegal in the second match of Saturday's Men's Soccer Quarterfinals. The action begins at 9:30 a.m. ET/2:30 p.m. ET.
Mexico finished in first place in Group B as they tied one game and won two, tallying up seven points in Group B.
Mexico won their games through defense after only scoring three goals in the qualifiers. They did not give up any goals. They tied against South Korea in the first match of the game but then shut out Gabon two goals to none and defeated Switzerland 1-0 in their last match.
Senegal finished in second place in Group A behind Great Britain. Senegal finished with five points after a win and two draws in the qualifiers. They scored four goals while only allowing two.
They tied Great Britain 1-1 in their first matchup of the 2012 London Olympics. Many considered it a loss on Great Britain's behalf as they were expected to get the win. Senegal got a late goal with less than 10 minutes to play in regulation.
Senegal turned out to be more than an opponent to walk on. They shutout Uruguay 2-0 and once again finished in a draw as they tied 1-1 with UA Emirates.
