Oakland Raiders Rumors: Ndamukong Suh, Randall Cobb, Jeremy Maclin Free Agent Targets As Andre Johnson Trade Option For Derek Carr?

The Oakland Raiders are coming off of another losing season and with names like Ndamukong Suh, Randall Cobb, Jeremy Maclin and DeMarco Murray hitting free agency, Reggie McKenzie may look to spend for quarterback Derek Carr, as he needs playmakers and this comes as Andre Johnson, Larry Fitzgerald or Mike Wallace could be available in a trade.

The Raiders hired Jack Del Rio as head coach and they feel that he is the right man to turn things around in the Bay Area. According to Pro Football Talk, Del Rio said that the team would consider making improvements in all areas and that the offensive side will be a focus this offseason. Del Rio helped turn around the Denver Broncos defense and while the Raiders are a mess on that side of the ball, he acknowledged in his press conference that the team needs playmakers.

The Raiders come into the season after winning just three games and after winning eight over the previous two, they are looking for some improvement. The team feels that Del Rio can handle the roster of young players and now Reggie McKenzie has the chance to spend once again. Last offseason the team spent a ton of money after coming in with the most cap space, but they did not go crazy. The team signed Justin Tuck, James Jones, Maurice Jones-Drew and some other names, but no one major.

The Raiders are in the top three in salary cap space and that could enable them to spend again and this could be the year to do it. The free agent market has Demaryius Thomas, Ndamukong Suh, Randall Cobb, Jeremy Maclin and DeMarco Murray and many other names on the market and some of those players could be options for the Raiders. Suh is one of the top players out there and he could be an option, as the Raiders need some major improvement on defense as well. Suh could command a contract like JJ Watt's and he comes in after putting up 8.5 sacks this season.

The Raiders were one of the worst rushing teams in the league and they could look at Murray or Gore as potential targets on the market. Gore comes in after rushing for over 1000 yards again and he likely is on his way out in San Francisco. Cobb is an explosive player and he could be an option, as the team needs receivers and he comes in after making 91 catches for 1287 yards and 12 touchdowns last season. Cobb will be a target to stay in Green Bay, but he could get big money.

Maclin is coming off of a big season after dealing with an injury and he had 85 catches for 1318 yards and tied his career high with 10 touchdowns. Maclin set career highs with this season and the Raiders could be an option. The team also reportedly will target Amari Cooper in the draft, as they have the fourth pick and many think the team could go after Cooper. The Raiders have plenty of moves to make for head coach Jack Del Rio this offseason.
