NFL Preseason Results: Peyton Manning Debuts, Throws Interception in Denver Broncos Win Over Chicago Bears

It was very weird seeing Peyton Manning in anything but the Indianapolis Colts white and royal blue, but on Thursday, Manning sported the Denver Broncos' blue, white and orange as they romped the Chicago Bears 31-3 in preseason action.

Manning looked as good as always. He went 4/7 for 44 yards and one interception. Had the Broncos lost the game it would have been said that the turnover was costly, but being that it was 31-3 at the end and just a preseason game, everything looked perfectly fine.

The Broncos started slowly, scoring three on a 28-yeard field goal by Matt Prater. In the second quarter, the Broncos attacked the endzone with a two-yard run by running back Lance Ball. He finished the game with 7 carries and 16 yards with the TD.

The party and routing continued for Denver in the third quarter as Xavier Omon ran in a three-yard touchdown. This was then followed by a touchdown catch by Jason Hill. He was hit by B. Osweiler who took a few snaps, going 4/7 with 38 yards and a TD.

Quarterback Caleb Hanie had a decent outing going 7/14 with 79 yards passing.

Corneluis Ingram, wide receiver for the Broncos had a touchdown on 45 yards catching.

Not much could be said about the Chicago Bears. Robbie Gould had the only score for the team after kick a 47-yarder with 10:51 left in the fourth quarter.

The Broncos and Manning will face the Seattle Seahawks  next. The Chicago Beers will host the Washington Redskins.
