NFL Preseason Schedule 2012: New York Giants, Jets, San Francisco 49ers, Detroit Lions Among Teams In Action Today

The NFL Preseason took off on a high note yesterday with 12 teams in action and six games played. Today, preseason football continues with another 12 teams and six games. The action starts 7:30 p.m. ET.

Here is what the NFL Preseason Schedule looks like for today.

New York Giants vs. Jacksonville Jaguars- 7:30 p.m. E/4:30 p.m. PT.

The championship New York Giants get their own article. Check out their schedule and TV information.

New York Jets vs. Cincinnati Bengals - 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT

The New York Jets are always under the scope as they have some of the most interesting characters in the NFL. They added one of the most scrutinized football players in the sport as they traded for Tim Tebow. Many think Tebow will be used for specific assignments and they think he can improve the team's 8-8 season, both on the field and in the locker room. Rex Ryan hit the tabloids recently for scolding his team after on field brawls. It is going to take winning, not preaching, to turn the fate of this team around.

The Cincinnati Bengals were a surprise last season as they came from the AFC Central and sneaked into the playoffs with a 9-7 record. They were bounced by the Houston Texans in the AFC Wild Card game, but the future looks bright with their young quarterback Andy Dalton.

Cleveland Browns vs. Detroit Lions- 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT

The Cleveland Browns stacked up in the 2012 Draft and added running back Trent Richardson and quarterback Brandon Weeden to their roster as they had two picks in the first round. This will make the Browns a team to watch since they get two offensive weapons. They are not expected to win immediately, though it is recommended for Weeden to start out hot since he is already reaching his prime as a 28-year-old rookie.

The Detroit Lions have one of the most exciting offenses in the NFL, if not the best. Matt Stafford had a breakout season along with his wide receiver, known as Megatron, Calvin Johnson. Stafford threw for 5,038 yards while throwing 41 touchdowns. They went 10-6 in the regular season, good enough for a Wild Card spot in the Central.

Here are the rest of the matches occuring on Friday.

Tamba Bay Buccaneers vs. Miami Dolphins- 7:30 p.m. ET/4:30 p.m. PT
Arizona Cardinals vs. Kansas City-  8 p.m. ET/5 PT
Minnesota Vikings vs. San Francisco 49ers- 9 p.m. ET/6 PT.
