Chicago Bears Rumors: Jay Cutler Trade To Washington Redskins, Cleveland Browns, Tennessee Titans, Houston Texans Options For John Fox?

The Chicago Bears may look at a Jay Cutler trade this offseason after hiring John Fox to take over as head coach for Marc Trestman and this comes after Cutler was benched for Jimmy Clausen late in the season and teams like the Washington Redskins, Cleveland Browns, Tennessee Titans, Houston Texans and NY Jets could be interested if GM Ryan Pace decides to move the quarterback.

The Bears missed the playoffs this season and finished with a 5-11 record and a lot of the blame for that came on Cutler's shoulders. Cutler was benched in Week 16 of the season by Marc Trestman for backup Jimmy Clausen, but that lasted just one week, as Clausen was injured and Cutler was back in the starting lineup. Moving Cutler is not easy because of the massive contract he signed, as he is due $15 million this season after being the highest paid player in the NFL in 2014.

Cutler actually did not have a bad season statistically, but he led the league in interceptions and turnovers. Cutler set career highs in touchdown passes and completion percentage while passing for his second best total in yards, but overall his play was subpar and that put the team in losing situations. The offense now has the chance to rebound if the team keeps Cutler, as Adam Gase followed John Fox from Denver to take over as offensive coordinator. The addition of Gase and quarterbacks coach Dowell Loggains is a good sign for Cutler, as they could help him rebound after the bad performance last season.

According to ESPN.com, Cutler has a "strong, personal relationship" with Dowell Loggains and that is a sign that the team likely will be keeping Cutler. The two have a connection from when Cutler wanted the Bears to hire Loggains after Pep Hamilton was fired, but that did not happen. Cutler reportedly did have the best relationship with replacement Shane Day and now if Loggains comes in, he could help turn things around for Cutler.

Cutler threw for 3812 yards last season with 28 touchdowns and 18 interceptions last season and played in 15 games, which was the most he played in since 2012. Cutler has the talent to be an elite quarterback and now he has to try and get things going after a poor 2014 season. The Bears could consider trading Cutler and while that isn't likely, there are a number of suitors that could look at acquiring him. The Bears have the potential to bounce back, as they have prime offensive talent with Matt Forte, Brandon Marshall and Alshon Jeffery.

The Redskins could be interested in a move, as they previously were interested in Cutler when he went to Chicago, but Scot McCloughan has thrown his support behind RG3. The Cleveland Browns have huge questions at quarterback and they could look at moving on from Johnny Manziel if they don't sign back Brian Hoyer. The Houston Texans have a major need at quarterback, while the Tennessee Titans also could look at making a deal if they opt to pass up taking a QB in the draft.
