The Super Bowl 2015 championship game is live on Sunday night from Arizona as the Seattle Seahawks and New England Patriots battle in SB XLIX and it will be on NBC starting at 6:30 pm ET and streaming online from the NBCSN Live Extra website and the halftime show lineup has Katy Perry, while the national anthem will be sung by Idina Menzel.
The Super Bowl matchup has the two top teams in the AFC and NFC, as the Seahawks and the Patriots were the number one seeds in their conference. The Patriots won over the Indianapolis Colts to advance to the Super Bowl, while the Seattle Seahawks pulled out a miracle win over the Green Bay Packers. The Deflate-Gate scandal took over most of the media attention for the Patriots, but now all the focus is on the actual game and any punishment, if there is any, will come after the Super Bowl.
The Seahawks and Packers played one of the best NFC championship games ever, as Green Bay was winning for most of the game before Seattle made a comeback. The team recovered an onside kick and came back before winning in overtime and now Russell Wilson has the chance to win his second Super Bowl in just a few years of being a pro. Brady is looking for that elusive fourth title and he could put himself in legendary company with another championship.
The New York Giants are what stands between Brady and Bill Belichick being the all-time coach and QB duo, as they would have been 5-0 with wins in those two Super Bowls. The Super Bowl XLIX matchup is basically a pick em game and now the two teams get the chance to face off. The Seahawks won in Seattle a couple years ago by one point over the Patriots and they are trying to repeat as Super Bowl champions.
