Cleveland Cavaliers Rumors: Trade For Norris Cole, Mo Williams, Jose Calderon, Jeremy Lin, Lance Stephenson Options For LeBron James Support?

The Cleveland Cavaliers may look at adding some support at the trade deadline this year, as names like Norris Cole, Mo Williams, Jose Calderon, Jeremy Lin, Lance Stephenson, Tyler Ennis, Gerald Green and Michael Carter-Williams all could be potential targets for help in the offensive side, as the team wants some more options behind Kyrie Irving and LeBron James in the rotation.

The Cavaliers have been playing very well since LeBron James came back from an injury, but according to Cleveland.com, the team wants to add a backup point guard and some wing depth at the deadline if they can. Kyrie Irving has been playing well at point guard, but the team wants a more improved second unit and getting someone like Tyler Ennis or Norris Cole could be a good way to help out. Cole is being shopped by the Heat and he could be a solid pickup, as he previously has played with James.

According to Cleveland.com, the Cavaliers and Detroit Pistons could be interested in a trade for Cole, as the Miami Heat look willing to trade him at the deadline. Cole is a solid point guard and he has been praised by James in his time in Miami, saying that Cole was an underrated player and strong defensive option. Cole has been playing less with Mario Chalmers and Shabazz Napier in the rotation in Miami and that could spark a move.

The Pistons are looking at Cole after losing Brandon Jennings for the season and they also have Greg Monroe as trade bait, but they likely will not trade him this season. Cole has been averaging six points per game and just over two assists per game and he could also be a trade option for other teams in need of a point guard. The Hornets are also reportedly interested in Cole and they could look at making a move with Lance Stephenson at the deadline, as the Heat have shown slight interest in him earlier in the season.

Reggie Jackson had continued to get shopped this season by the Thunder, but it's likely that the Cavaliers will not give up what OKC wants for him. Jackson is set to become a restricted free agent and the bidding for him could get high. Jackson has had his minutes slashed since Dion Waiters came to town and he reportedly has been a target for the Denver Nuggets. The Nuggets nearly traded for Jackson earlier in the season, but the two sides could not work out a deal.

Jose Calderon, Jeremy Lin and Tyler Ennis have all been mentioned as potential options, while Mo Williams has also come up as a target for the Cavs. According to Pro Basketball Talk, Williams is a target for the Miami Heat, Clippers and Cavaliers, but the Timberwolves may not be quick to trade him. Darren Wolfson writes that the Pistons are also reportedly interested. Williams is averaging over 12 points per game and is shooting just under 40 percent from the field and he could be a solid option off the bench for the Cavs.

The Cavaliers come into the week at 29-20 and they have won 10 in a row and have looked great over the past two weeks, as they are now in the top half of the league in scoring and point allowed for the first time this season.
