English Premier League Table Standings: Chelsea Leads EPL Over Man City, Manchester United, Tottenham, Arsenal

The English Premier League table has Chelsea atop the Barclays EPL standings and the Blues lead Man City, Manchester United, Tottenham and Arsenal as things push into the second half of the schedule in 2015 and Jose Mourinho is looking to lock things in, as a Champions League berth is all but certain and the league title is his target.

Chelsea has been the most consistent team in the EPL all year and they are looking to win things after starting off on a great run. The team did not lose until late in the 2014 schedule and now they have just two losses as they push towards the middle of February. The team has a seven point lead on Manchester City and they are looking firm at the top right now.

The top three has Chelsea ahead of Man City and Southampton is next in the standings with 45 points. The Blues are well clear of them right now, while Manchester United is one point back in fourth place. Man Utd has played very well of late and they are looking to get back into the top four and the Champions League after a tough season last year.

Chelsea had their chances over Man City last year, but they finished behind Manchester City and Liverpool in the standings. Liverpool is down at seventh right now and they still have a chance to get into the top four, as they have not yet lost in 2015. The Reds started off slow and washed out of the Champions League after finishing second last year and they will have to continue playing at a high level. Steven Gerrard has turned it on and Mario Balotelli and Raheem Sterling are looking to step up for Brendan Rodgers.

Man United is in fourth and they have a one point lead over Tottenham in the standings. The Sours are ahead of Arsenal by one point and the Gunners have a three point lead over Liverpool. Past the Reds is West Ham, followed by Swansea City, Stoke City and Newcastle. Everton has struggled and they are at 12th on the table, while Crystal Palace and Sunderland are next. The lower part of the table has West Brom, Aston Villa, Burnley, Hull City, QPR and Leicester City as the bottom teams.

The English Premier League schedule picks up mid-week and Chelsea comes in with an important matchup at home against Everton. The team also has the Champions League Round of 16 coming up and that will be against Paris Saint-Germain. The games this week include Liverpool and Tottenham, Manchester City and Stoke City as well as Man United hosting Burnley at Old Trafford. This will be a big month for teams if they hope to move up, as time is running out on the EPL schedule to get close to the top four as the season presses on.
