The Miami Hurricanes and Boston College Eagles are playing live on the ACC college basketball schedule and the matchup starts on ESPNU and ESPN3.com streaming online at 3 pm ET on Monday at Silvio Conte Forum after being postponed due to the wild weather in the northeast and now the game will be played in the afternoon.
The Hurricanes come into the game after losing to Wake Forest and they will next play against Virginia Tech on the schedule before a game with ranked Louisville. The team is down near the bottom of the ACC standings and they are 15-9 overall and 5-6 in the conference. The Eagles have been even worse, going 9-14 on the season and just 1-10 in the conference.
The matchup between the teams was postponed due to snow and now they will play the game on Monday in the afternoon. Miami comes in averaging 67 points per game and over the last five games they have only won one. The team started off the season strong and did not lose until December, but they have been uneven since then. The team took Virginia to double overtime and won over Florida while they were ranked in the top 10 and down the stretch they have matchups with teams in the top 25.
The Hurricanes play against Louisville on the road and at the end of February they will host North Carolina. The team ends the season on the road and will play against Pittsburgh and Virginia Tech away from home. The Eagles have struggled this season overall and on offense they are averaging 64 points per game. The team has lost five straight games and one in the last eight and moving forward they have one against a ranked team left on the schedule.
Boston College has lost to Duke this season as well as Notre Dame and UNC and they have not won against a ranked team. The Eagles also fell to Louisville and Virginia and coming up they have a home matchup with Notre Dame. The team visits Pittsburgh and they also will play against Virginia Tech and Wake Forest to end the season. Virginia comes in at first in the ACC over Notre Dame and Duke, while BC is in the bottom behind Georgia Tech, Virginia Tech and Wake Forest.
