The Syracuse Orange and Duke Blue Devils are playing live on the ACC college basketball schedule on Saturday night and the conference matchup is from Cameron Indoor Stadium as the number four Blue Devils host and they are looking to finish strong with Jahlil Okafor this season with the Atlantic Coast Conference tournament coming up soon.
The Blue Devils come into the game after a win against Virginia Tech and they are now 25-3 on the season and they are 12-3 in the conference. The team has been playing very well and they have not lost since back in January and now it has been a month since that defeat against Notre Dame. The team has won eight in a row and that included a victory against Virginia when they were at number two in the nation.
Okafor comes in after putting up 30 points and nine rebounds and he is one of the candidates for player of the year this season. The team plays against Wake Forest next and they end the season with a matchup against North Carolina and that will be on the road at Chapel Hill. Duke comes in ranked fifth in the nation in scoring at 80 points per game and they are third in the nation in field goal percentage. The team has been one of the best offensive teams in the nation and Okafor has turned out to be the real deal.
Syracuse has had a disappointing season on and off the court and they will be out of the postseason this year. The team comes into the game at 18-10 on the season and they are 9-6 in the conference. The team next plays against Virginia on the schedule and they come in after a win against Notre Dame away and they end the season against Duke, Virginia and NC State. The team had lost two of three before winning against Notre Dame and now they will try and finish the season on a positive note.
