The Boston Celtics and Cleveland Cavaliers are playing live on the NBA schedule on Tuesday night and the matchup from Quicken Loans Arena starts up at 7 pm ET and has LeBron James, Kyrie Irving and Kevin Love looking to keep things going as the season presses into the second stretch and the new look Celtics will have Isaiah Thomas coming in after his trade to the team.
The Cavaliers come into the game after one of the most entertaining matchups of the season against the Rockets. The team lost by two in overtime after some late misses from James on the free throw line and that had many calling James Harden the MVP and new King James for a minute. Harden is out for a game after kicking James in the groin and that should shut up anyone who thinks he should be king for now. James comes in after scoring 37 points in the game and he has been on a tear as of late.
James is motivated by not being in the MVP race and he is making his impact felt as he takes a young team into the playoffs. The Cavaliers started off very slow and now they have 37 wins and are right in the mix at the top of the central division. The team comes in after the loss to the Rockets and now have the Celtics before visiting the Raptors, who have slumped but are one of the better teams in the east.
The Cavaliers look like a different team from where they started the season and now they have the chance to make a deep run in the playoffs. The Celtics brought in Thomas but they are rebuilding and they have 23 wins on the season. The Cavs are now ranked in the top 10 in scoring with over 102 points per game and they are ranked 12th in defense this season with 98 points allowed per game.
The Cavaliers have James leading the team in scoring and he will be key if the team wants to win the title this season. The Celtics come into the game after a loss against the Golden State Warriors and they will next play against the Utah Jazz on the schedule.
