Fernando Llorente could be on his way to the English Premier League after his agent confirmed they had two offers on the table from England for the Athletic Bilbao striker.
Llorente has refused to sign a new contract, and with only one year remaining on his current deal, it is widely expected the Spanish international striker will move on. Juventus are thought to be the frontrunners for the 27-year-old's signature, with Bilbao reportedly turning down an initial bid from the Italian champions.
Arsenal have been linked with a move for the striker in the past, with several quarters suggesting Arsene Wenger had targeted the highly-rated forward as a potential replacement for Robin Van Persie. While Wenger has said Lukas Podolski and Olivier Giroud were bought to cover for Van Persie's departure, the possibility of signing another striker has not been completely ruled out.
Podolski, although Wenger has suggested will be used by the Gunners as a center forward, is capable of playing on the left side, ensuring a seamless transition, if indeed a striker is brought in.
Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur have also been linked with a move for Llorente, who was left out of the Bilbao side in their first La Liga match this weekend, and it remains to be seen where the Spaniard will end up plying his trade.
Llorente's representative Carlos Arino Bajo has claimed there is interest from two Premier League clubs - one from London and one from Manchester.
"Tomorrow (Wednesday) Llorente will speak to his destination," Arino Bajo told the Daily Telegraph. "It is very, very possible he will decide to go to the Premier League.
"I don't know the (choice of) club at the moment but there are two (interested) clubs. One is in London, and one is in Manchester."
Llorente, interestingly, said he could yet stay at Bilbao, although it does look more likely he will leave. "I do not know of talks about me," he told itasportpress.it. "Right now I just think about my team.
"I am happy to play for Athletic Bilbao because I feel an important player here and am happy to continue here. My renewal? Let's see."
Wenger has admitted he is on the lookout for a defender and a midfielder, and even if one should never take what the Frenchman says at face value, it would appear more likely that the London club mentioned are Tottenham, with Spurs desperate to sign a striker.
City might look to sign Llorente, after Sergio Aguero picked up an injury which will rule him out for at least a few weeks, with Edin Dzeko also possibly moving to Juve, to free up space for the Spaniard.
