FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup 2012 Results: Japan vs. New Zealand Score 2-2 Draw, Statistics Available

Japan and New Zealand ended their match in 2-2 draw in the second game of the first round in Japan's FIFA U-20 Women's Soccer World Cup on Wednesday. It took some late minute magic from Japan to get them back into the match, but eventually they managed.

New Zealand jumped out to a demoralizing attack on Japan. In the 11th minute, Ayu Nakada scored the first goal and then four minutes later they doubled their lead with a goal from Rosie White.

It was not until the closing minutes of the first half that Japan was able to trim the lead as Yoko Tanaka scored a goal in the 37th minute.

The host squad spoiled New Zealand's party in the 71st minute when Ayaka Michigami scored a goal, tying the match.
