Houston Rockets Rumors and News: Dwight Howard Returns From Injury Soon, James Harden MVP Candidate With Stephen Curry

The Houston Rockets have been playing without Dwight Howard since January and while the team has been able to stay in the top part of the west without him, the Rockets should get him back sometime this month and it comes as James Harden has been having an MVP season for the Rockets and he is competing with Stephen Curry and LeBron James for the award.

The Rockets are second in the southwest division heading into the back stretch of the season and they are 43-22 overall and they have played a chunk without Howard. According to ESPN.com, Howard is expecting to be back on the court in two weeks and he has been working out with the team in practice. Howard had a knee issue in January and he was expected to be out for four to six weeks once he shut things down.

Howard said to ESPN.com that he has not suffered any set backs with the knee and that the team is waiting until he is fully ready to return to put him back on the court. Howard did one on one work for the first time since starting rehab and he now is moving closer to getting into the starting lineup. Howard is averaging 16 points and 11 rebounds in the 32 games he has played in this season and the Rockets have been able to stay in the division race behind Memphis and ahead of the Spurs despite Howard being out.
