The EPL weekend results saw Manchester United win over the Tottenham Spurs at Old Trafford to keep themselves in position for the Champions League this season and heading into the back stretch of the Premier League season the team is looking in top form.
The team got two goals from Marouane Fellaini and Michael Carrick in the first 20 minutes of the match and Wayne Rooney added a third for the 3-0 score. The team did not give up much on the attack side and they now have the chance to keep things going into the end of the year. United was in possession for the majority of the game and the team did not give up any goals once again at Old Trafford.
Manchester United is in strong position for the Champions League and they are within striking distance at the top of the EPL table, although Chelsea has that basically locked in. The team is right there with Arsenal and the Spurs now slip down a bit and in the standings and they are in seventh position. Rooney scored in the 34th minute after Carrick scored just 10 minutes after Fellaini.
Man United came into the match after losing to Arsenal in the FA Cup and winning over Newcastle in their last Premier League game. Coming up the team has a tough schedule, including matches against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, Everton, West Brom and Manchester City.
