In what has become an annual ritual, President Barack Obama picked his NCAA Tournament bracket and revealed it on ESPN and he picked the Kentucky Wildcats to win March Madness, with the team joining Duke, Villanova and Arizona as the teams in the Final Four for 2015.
Obama said he likes the Wildcats to remain undefeated through the season and in the tournament and he picked Villanova as the runner up team to Kentucky. According to ESPN.com, in the Final Four the President selected Kentucky winning over Arizona, while Villanova wins over Duke, making it an all-Wildcats final.
The Final Four and national championship will be in Indianapolis from April 4-6 and the tournament officially starts on Thursday after the play-in games are complete. Obama also picked some upsets in his bracket, including Davidson making it to the Sweet 16 and also Buffalo winning over West Virginia in the first round. There is usually a 5-12 upset in the bracket and Obama went for Buffalo.
Obama also had Texas winning against Butler in an 11-6 matchup and he picked Wyoming over Northern Iowa in the east bracket. Obama stuck with solid picks through the end though, as he selected three number one seeds and a team that could have been one to make it to the Final Four. Obama has already picked some wrong games though, as he picked BYU winning over Xavier, but that can't happen in the west, as they lost to Ole Miss already.
According to ESPN.com, Obama was at the 72nd percentile in his picks last season, but he picked Michigan State beating Louisville fir the finals. Connecticut made it in and won.
